What Documents Are Required for Elderly/Persons with Dementia to Handle Banking Services?

The following documents are required:

Original identity document of the Account Holder and Disability Registration Card;
Original identity document of the Authorised Person and "Enduring Power of Attorney"*.

*The Authorised Person must hold an "Enduring Power of Attorney" registered with the Hong Kong High Court, which must clearly authorise the Authorised Person to perform relevant operations on the customer's account. The customer must also be present in person.
